Fedora 11
Jun/092
Yesterday Fedora 11 was released and this was my first full release as a contributor. It was a lot of fun working with docs, and I am looking forward to the next 6 months as we look at Fedora 12. I am going to try and get more involved this time around, there are some applications that I would like to see packaged so I am going to try my hand at that, there is also still lots of work to do done on the haskell front. Thanks to everyone that helped me get going this release and great work to everyone involved.
Haskell and Fedora
May/090
I have been working on some packages to help get better support of Haskell into Fedora. Thanks to the great application called cabal2spec I was able to take some applications from hackage and turn them into spec files. I am still waiting to get feed back on the specs, as this is my first time making packages but I have xmonad, and xmonad-contribs running, as well as xmobar, and some support Haskell libs.
If you use Fedora and want to help ensure great support for Haskell take a look at the Haskell SIG. If you are not a Fedora contributor but would like to help make sure and look at this page first to find out more.

Time to Git going
Mar/090
I am moving all of my personal code repos to git this week after using bzr for some time I figure I should use what has become the standard in the open source community. The problem is I like to host code on my own server, and I don’t really want to use github or anything similar but I can’t figure out how to enable git:// or http:// clones on my Fedora 10 based server. I already have gitweb setup and it works nice (and much better then loggerhead ever did) but its all kind of useless until people can clone the repo to make changes themselves.
